Headcount
This report displays a headcount at the time of running. It is based on the data entered into the Organisation Units window to collate employee numbers in positions within each nominated organisation unit.
Rules and Guidelines
- If the report is run with selected organisation units, the first page of the report will show the parameters selected.
- If the option Select the Organisation Level to Sort the Report by is chosen, the resulting report will list the organisation units down to and including the level selected.
Example:
If Level 3 is selected, the report will show counts of active employees for:
- Each Level 1
- Each Level 2
- Each Level 3 - including the count for any organisation units that belong to the Level 3 Organisation Unit and have been flagged in the Include in Headcount Report field on the Organisation Units window.
- If the option Enter the required Organisation Units to Report on is selected, the resulting report will list a count of each organisation unit chosen, including the figures for any organisation units that belong to the selected units and have been flagged in Include in Headcount Report on the Organisation Units window.
- When the option Include sort on Employment Type/Split of Long Term Absence Positions is set to Y, the report will include a breakdown of employees by Employment Type and a listing of employees attached to Long Term Absence Position IDs.
- Each Employment Type and Long Term Absence Type is listed separately. Employees are counted once and they will not appear in both categories.
- If the employee is attached to a Long Term Absence Position, their count will be included in the Long Term Absence Section rather than in Employment Type.
- The sorting order for Employment Type is controlled by Program Control Option HDCNT.
- The sorting order for Long Term Position Absence Type is controlled by a setting on the Long Term Absence Position window.
- For an organisation unit that has not been selected, but appears on the report as part of the organisation structure, four asterisks will be reported for the Headcount.
- The report will include totals for each of the parameters selected and over total at the end.
- The Headcount report will display the number of active employees holding positions that are attached to selected organisation units that have been flagged in the "Included in Headcount Report" field.
- The report will count by Organisation Unit for a selected Level or by Selected Organisation Units.

These are the Organisation Units to be reported, which will indicate the Level the selected Unit and the code it belongs to.
- The selected organisation unit must be flagged in the Include in Headcount Report field.
