Message Delivery
Notifications are generated and delivered to system users via Email and/or the Preceda Inbox (for Desktop and Mobile users).

One email is sent to the user for every record that meets the set criteria.
Alert functionality via email is only available for users that have an email address attached to their employee record. The email address is entered via the Other Contacts window. Preceda will send the email to the employee's Business Email address, or the employee's Personal Email address, if the former is not specified.

One alert/notification is sent to the user's inbox for all records that meet the criteria for a particular Alert.
- The availability of messages sent to the user's Inbox can be done by setting Position 8 of PREVAR setting *PP_INBOX_OPTIONS to Y.
- To change the PREVAR setting for a specific database, contact Preceda Services for assistance.
The notification text and priority of the notification can be modified via the drilldown window.
- The "Desktop to Use" field in the Define Users window must be set to C for the user to be able to access the Preceda Desktop Inbox.
