Average Hours Detail

This screen displays the detailed period by period Worked Hours history for each employee setup to use Average Hours as a basis for their leave calculations or payments.

Prerequisites

Rules and Guidelines

  • Whenever the employee is included in a Payrun, the number of tax weeks and the total average hours accumulated are calculated.
  • If an employee is not setup to use Average Hours calculations, no data is displayed.
  • It is not a mandatory requirement to have an associated Leave Entitlement record matching the Classification where the Leave Accrual Method is configured to accrue based on Average Hours, to generate Average Hours Details.

  • The records stored on this screen are added during the Close Payrun process, when position 15 of Program Control PAYEN is set to 'Y'. It uses the Earnings History, which has been updated by the pay run details, to calculate the Average Hours Detail for the Pay Period End Date.

  • When running the Close Payrun process, depending on the rules established for the calculation of Average Hours, all Hours Types defined with a Y to include in leave accruals and/or flagged to include Hours Types as part of the Average Hours Rules are extracted and added to this file.
  • Only the Hours Worked values added to this file are included in the calculation of the Average Hours.
  • A Filter option is available where you can set the browse list to display filtered records based on the Average Hours Type and/or Period Ending Date. You could also use pagination option to navigate through large number of records.
  • Populate Average Hours Detail utility can be used to populate Average Hours Details records based on existing earnings history records. This process references the Average Hours Selection criteria to populate detail record.

  • Average Hours Detail mapper can be used to import bulk average hours detail records. Please refer M000219 mapper documentation for further information.

  • The Average Hours Detail can be populated or updated for the Period Type O-Over the Lifetime.
