Leave Reason

This window enables the user to identify reasons for taking leave other than Sick, Annual Long Service and Workers Compensation Leave purposes. Other Leave could be Jury Service, Compassionate Leave, Maternity Leave, etc.

Field Information

Enter a code of up to 2 characters that represents the Leave Reason.

Enter a description of the Leave Reason.

Enter a description of up to 16 characters that can be used with reports.

You can map employees payments into the disaggregated STP Payment Type Codes across Hours Type Codes and Allow/Deduct Codes in Preceda along with Leave Reasons. Leave Reason must be mapped to the STP Payment Types that relate to Paid Leave due to the disaggregation of gross in STP Reporting.

This field is mandatory when *PP_STPPHASE2 Position 1 = A.

Hours Type Codes with Classification O (Other Leave) are mapped to an STP Payment Type. Where Other Leave is used with a Leave Reason, and the Leave Reason has a different STP Payment Type, this will be treated as an override.
