Reset User
This window is used to reset a user's account details if, for any reason, the user's access becomes disabled. If a User disables his/her profile, he/she will need to contact his/her Preceda Systems Administrator. From this screen, the administrator can then change the user's status from Disabled to Enabled.
Once the User's access is enabled, he/she can reset his/her own password from the log in window, if permitted by the organization. An employee must have a business email address on the Preceda record to be able to reset the password. Each time a new password is created by the Administrator, the User is required to change the automated password with a password of his/her choice, provided that it has not been used before.
Prerequisites
- To allow access to the User Password and Profile Status fields, the correct Prevar and Sysvar settings must be setup.
- The "Administrator" field in the Define Users window must be set to Y.
Rules and Guidelines
- Fill in the mandatory fields.
