Electronic Reporting

The electronic reporting feature provides Employer Information, Payment Summary, ETP Payment Summaries and Tax File Number Declaration information on magnetic media to the ATO.

• The ATO accepts information on a variety of different magnetic media types.
• While tape is used in this section in reference to magnetic media, the ATO accepts other forms of magnetic media such as CD, DVD, USB etc.
• Permission must be granted from the ATO to send employer information, Payment Summary and TFN Declaration information on tape. They will provide detailed information about their requirements (e.g. the type of magnetic media that can be sent, how it should be prepared and the format of the information).
• An employer information window must identify each Level, Level 1 and Level 2 combination, can also be setup if required.
• The Media Supplier Reference Table record identifies details of the organisation providing the magnetic media.
• The Level 2 State code allows for the abbreviated description of each state.
• Establish the Level 2 Reference table. The Level 2 States function enables you to define abbreviated descriptions of each state.
• The Tax File Number Declaration details for each new employee in the relevant Employee Tax window.
