Clock Configuration

A unique identifier for the clock.

• This must match the actual clock that is being uploaded from the transactions.csv.
• The clock name in Preceda should be in an 'XXXX.XXXX' format, wherein the first four 'XXXX's represent the site number and the other four represent the clock number.

 

A description of the Time Clock code.

The communication method that the clock will be communicating with the system.

E	Ethernet
P	PC Communications
T	Twinax

 

The time zone for the physical location of the Preceda Server.

• Hosted Clients must use 21 as the Preceda Server is based in Adelaide.

21	Northern Territory and South Australia
22	Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, ACT and Tasmania
23	New Zealand

 

Are restrictions to apply to this Time Clock?

Y	This clock is to be included when downloading restrictions from the restrictions file. The restrictions will control how the system processes early, late and un rostered punches.
N	Restrictions do not apply to this clock.

 

The model number of the clock

• If the clock to be used is a clock, this must be setup to 440 Basic.

 

The hardware serial number of the clock can be entered for reference purposes.

The password for the clock as used in the clock setup.

• Enter the password provided by the clock manufacturer.
• Consult the setup guide for your clock or the installer of the clock for more information.

 

The Communications Line or Group that the clock is assigned to.

The IP Address of the clock.

• This is a required field when using Ethernet as the clock communication method.

 

The physical location of the clock.

The exact name of the modem found in the TCP settings for the clock.

The phone number used to dial into the clock. The area code must be included

Displays the status of the last job that ran on the clock. e.g. Polling or Downloading.

Indicates if this clock is selected for polling. X indicates Yes.
