Clock Level Tracking

This window sets up labour tracking fields for a time clock so that the time recorded at the clock can be tracked against a cost level code.

Prerequisites

• If a clock is to be dedicated with a cost level code, the clock number for that clock must be known before linking it to a cost level code.

Rules and Guidelines

• Each punch at a clock that has one or more of these labour tracking fields defined will be recorded with the cost level code in the worked field. If they are blank, the punches at the clock will default to the home level code of the employee.
• When an employee transfers from a home assignment by punching at the clock with a cost transfer these punches will be recorded with the level codes specified.
• By having these seven fields stored in the clock, the system can validate the level codes that the employee is transferring to.

Field Information

Clock Level Tracking Fields

Up to seven levels that can be used as Labour Fields 1 to 7 at the clock. This will build a cross reference record for interpreting the transfer punches coming form the clock when one or more levels are mapped to their perspective Time User Code.

• e.g. If only Department Cost Transfers are being captured they will be recognised as Level 1 in the transaction.csv file and would need to be mapped to the appropriate Cost Level Code; most likely Cost Level/Secure Field 7.

 

Default Labour Level Tracking Fields

The default level codes for the clock so that each punch at this clock will be automatically assigned the level information each time an employee punches in or out for a shift at this clock.

These values will override the employee's home level code settings, but not all seven need to be specified, only specify those that would override the employees home information when punching at this clock.
