Initiate Termination
This window is used to initiate the termination of employees, either by way of employee self service, where the employee lodges their own request for termination followed by the manager creating the initiating of termination from their o do list, or by initiating the termination from within Preceda.
Prerequisites
Rules and Guidelines
- The initiated termination appears in the To Do List of any user to whom this Termination has been assigned via the Termination Workflow.
- The dates cater for a range of variations.
Example: The following example is based on an employee who is required to give 1 month's notice when resigning.

Field Information

Enter the employee's ID Number.

This field displays the employee's Position ID information.

This refers to the proposed/ suggested termination date.

This field displays the reason for the termination.

This field displays the comments made by the employee about the termination.

This is the date of the last day the employee will be attending work.

This field displays the date the termination is to take effect.

Indicate whether or not you would consider rehiring the employee.

This field displays the comments about the termination by the Manager.

Indicate if the Notice Details will be enabled or not.

Information entered in this area is automatically transferred to payroll, and will be visible as a comment to the payroll operator processing the termination.

Indicate whether or not the Repayment Details will be enabled or not.

Information entered in this area will not automatically be transferred to payroll but will be visible as a comment to the payroll operator processing the termination.

Indicate if a s Separation Certificate is required or not.
Select Run Process to finish.
