Qualifying criteria must be setup for each Superannuation Allowance/Deduction that will be used for Occupational Superannuation.
The following are the types of qualifying criteria you can specify:
The initial qualifying criteria relates to the first time an employee enters into the Occupation Superannuation system and is used only once for each employee. Define if the Occupational Superannuation contribution accumulated over the qualifying period is to be allocated for the employee.
Once an employee has met the First Qualifying criteria, the following set of qualifying criteria is used for all subsequent qualifying periods.
Although the two sets of criteria use the same types of criteria, different criteria values may be setup.
An employee may have to work for 26 weeks (initial qualifying period) before they qualify for Occupational Super. However, once that six months is completed, the subsequent qualifying periods may be different such as 4 weeks.
